You can’t get a more Phoenix-y (is that even a word?) than the the open desert areas in the heart of the Ahwatukee Foothills. This spot is one of my absolute favorite desert photo locations because of the open mountains, dreamy sunsets, and loads of cool looking cactus! It also does not require much hiking at all! The beauty of this spots surrounds you as soon as you get out of your car in the parking lot. See another session at this Ahwatukee location right here in the post “A Stroll Through the Desert”!
Session Type: High School Senior
This high school senior choose the perfect spot for her high school senior photos. Flying in from the Northwest, she wanted a spot totally different from where she lived and something that embrace the desert (I think we captured that, don’t you?!) BUT she also wanted to include something in the photos that really tied into who she is as a high school student. You can see by the shots that she is quite the awesome basketball player! (To see another awesome senior session which includes sports attire check out this post right here!)
Time Of Day
This open desert location is beautiful, but to capture those beautiful sunsets it is imperative that the session starts about one hour prior to sunset. This will give you the most flattering and dreamy portraits! The majority of my sessions are in the evening and you can check out another beautiful senior session at sunset right here in the post “Beautiful in the Desert.” )
I would love to help you capture your senior memories by taking your senior portraits! Email me today to schedule your high school senior portrait session. Together we can discuss location, wardrobe and any props you might want to include in your photos. firstname.lastname@example.org
