Session Type: Maternity
Did you know how much I love maternity sessions? Maybe it’s because with all 4 of my pregnancies I did NOT have a maternity session and I so regret it. Or maybe it’s because now that I have 4 kids I truly understand the beauty of pregnancy and how gorgeous new moms to be really are. Either way maternity photo sessions always rank high with me and this one was no exception! Location
This beautiful couple headed out to a location that was near and dear to them: the hiking trails at Lost Dutchman State Park. While we didn’t venture up the mountain on a long hike ( because, well, that’s kinda hard to do when you’re 9 months pregnant;) ) the views were just as beautiful down by the base. This gorgeous location is located in Apache Junction, AZ and does require additional fees and permits to shoot there. Please contact me to set this up! Session Time
Like most of my photo sessions, this one took place about an hour before sunset. This is especially true at this particular location where the sun is bright and the most flattering light hits the morning about 10 minute before the sun goes down. They way the light plays on the Superstition Mountain is pretty cool and the entire look of the mountain will change minute to minute! Because of the harsh sun (and hot sun!) here in Phoenix, most desert sessions will take place either at sunset or sunrise.
