Phoenix Family and Maternity Photographer
This gorgeous Phoenix maternity session couldn’t have been anymore perfect. (Well, maybe a little bit warmer… but that didn’t stop this mom to be!)
Location
For this session we headed to one of the more tucked away placed just Northeast of Phoenix. Coon Bluff Campground is a hidden little gem with red mountains, cactus, forest-y type trees (well, forest-like for the desert) and the salt river that flows through it all. A perfect spot for maternity or family photos. This place does require an additional parking fee, but t is well worth it! To see more sessions from Coon Bluff look here.
Salt River
This location is popular because of the access to Salt River and the ability to use it in photos! A couple things though to remember about the river though are:
- It can get cold- be prepared.
- It’s slippery. With river rocks on the bottom you want to make sure to be very careful
- You can’t always access the river. Different times of year, or when there is heavier rainfall the river can get high and make it difficult to access.
- You’ll get wet. So plan accordingly:)
Session Type
While the focu of this session was maternity and it was a priority for this mom to get in those water shots- we wanted to make sure we snapped a couple with the whole family , especially the new big brother to be. Before we headed down to the river, we took advantage of those forest like trees in Phoenix.
